In a bid to replenish political, economic relations between Jordan and Indonesia, Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Haider Murad encouraged Indonesian businessmen to expand their investments in Jordan. In meeting with an Indonesian delegation, on the sidelines of the Indonesian Industrial Fair currently held in Amman, Murad pointed out the need to activate 2009 pacts of cooperation and joint business signed between Jordan and Indonesia. Meanwhile, the Indonesian delegation said they were eager to invest in Jordan and set up trade and investments partnerships there due to the compelling investment climate there. According to the Jordanian news agency (Petra), Jordan's exports to Indonesia stood at $123 million last year while imports amounted to $213 million.
