India, UAE discuss joint cooperation in labour sector

Chief Minister of India''s Kerala State Oommen Chandy met here on Friday with visiting UAE Minister of Labour Saqr Gobash. Discussions during the meeting dealt with means to explore prospects of joint cooperation in labour issues between the UAE and India. The UAE minister praised GCC-India relations of cooperation as long-standing and historic, saying his visit to India had produced positive results building on the accumulative assets of joint cooperation. For his part, Chief Minister of Kerala Oommen Chandy said Gobash''s trip to India aims at developing mechanisms of work relations, adding that UAE laws and regulations along with tireless efforts being exerted by the ministry of labour will definitely improve efficiency of the labour market.(
