Hanjin Heavy union members approve deal dispute with management

Unionized workers at Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction unanimously approved a deal their leaders reached with management to end an 11-month-long dispute triggered by the shipmaker's massive layoffs last year. The union held a general meeting at the Yeongdo shipyard in Busan to ask its members whether they would endorse the agreement that union leaders worked out with management on Wednesday. The deal calls for reinstating 94 laid-off employees within one year and other benefits.
