Greek GDP decreases 6.3% in 2Q

Greece's gross domestic product (GDP) decreased by 6.3% in the second quarter of 2012 against the same period last year, Elstat, the Greek national statistics agency, said Friday. The figure, as Kathimerini reports, was slightly higher than the original estimate of 6.2%. According to Elstat, consumer spending fell by 7.2% while investments declined by 19.4% over the same period.
