Greek deficit and public debt higher than expected

Greece's deficit and public debt for 2011 are higher than originally estimated, provisional figures released on Monday by the national statistics authority showed. According to the provisional data, the deficit stood at 9.4 percent of gross domestic product, and the public debt at 170.6 percent.
