Exploratory well to be drilled near Zohr gas field
Zohr field: Eni succeeds with 1st production test

Petroleum Minister Tareq el Molla said on Tuesday an exploratory well will be drilled near Zohr gas field in the Mediterranean Sea in cooperation with Italy’s Eni.
“We agreed with Eni to start drilling to find out if there is oil along with gas in Zohr field,” he told a seminar organized by the Egyptian-Canadian Business Council.
A plan to achieve self-sufficiency of power in coordination with the Electricity Ministry is proceeding as scheduled, he said, adding that reserves in Nooros field reach 900 million cubic meters
