Eurozone economic confidence drops slightly in April

Economic confidence in April decreased slightly in the eruozone, according to a European Commission survey released on Tuesday. Economic Sentiment Indicator in the eurozone dropped to 102.0 by 0.5 pct mainly due to a worsening of confidence in services and construction, which are two sectors where confidence still scores below its long-term average. In the wider 28-nation European Union, economic confidence increased by 0.9 points to 106.2.
