Euro area inflation estimated at 2.6%

The annual inflation in March of the 17-member euro area is expected to be 2.6 percent according to a flash estimate issued by Eurostat, the EU statistical office, Friday. Inflation in the euro area was 2.7 percent in February. Eurostat added that for flash estimate it uses early price information relating to the reference month from the EU Member States for which data are available as well as early information about energy prices.
