The 5th EU-Africa Business Forum concluded in Brussels tonight with calls for more investments both in Africa and Europe, and access to new markets in the two continents. President of the European Council, Herman van Rompuy, in his concluding remarks noted that more than 500 leading business people, institutional actors and political leaders attended the two-day event here in Brussels. "This event has provided a privileged occasion to take initiatives that can move forward the trade and investment relationship between our two continents in a growing number of areas," he said. "I am looking forward to the conclusions and recommendations of the forum that will be presented to the African and European leaders at our summit taking place tomorrow and on Thursday," he added.
