
A delegation of oil companies representatives from Indonesia have visited Emirates General Petroleum Corporation, Emarat, to observe the procedures and processes adopted by the Corporation in the fields of service stations management, and the best practices followed regarding environment protection, safety, health and maintenance. Darren Smith, Manager, Retail Marketing Support at Emarat, welcomed the delegation, stressing that Emarat always seeks the establishment of ongoing cooperation and collaboration ties with oil companies. Emarat also aspires to share its pioneering experience in establishing and managing service stations, in addition to quality control systems implemented at the corporation. Mr. Smith said that Emarat endeavours to adopt methodical plans to elevate its services and to distinguish it in all aspects, in addition to enhancing its capabilities. Emarat is committed to the highest quality standards and criteria of service, health and safety, and environment protection. The delegation made a field visit to some service stations where they observed the nature and level of service provided at the stations, especially at the convenience stores that offer a wide selection of goods and products. These stores are staffed with experienced and skilled employees who are highly qualified to meet customers' needs. The delegation also examined the strict systems applied in regular maintenance operations, in addition to the environmental precautions that are followed through all the facilities, such as oil change and car wash services, in order to reduce their environmental effect. Additionally, vapour recovery systems are implemented to absorb fuel vapour emitting from the stations. At the end of the visit, Indonesian's delegation praised the level and high calibre of the services provided by Emarat, saying that such visits are important for experience sharing as they benefit all parties in enhancing their skills and capacities.
