
Fayyoum governor Hazem Ateyatoallah discussed Wednesday with the US archeological mission in the province details of a project for developing the ancient city of Karanis.
Introduced to Antiquities Minister Mamdouh el-Damati a week ago, the project will include renovating the house of the British high commissioner, the Roman bath, along with establishing a tourist center that showcases all the province's landmarks and attractions.
Ateyatoallah underscored the readiness of all the province's bodies concerned to introduce needed support for the project to be done, for the aim of boosting tourism, as it was a significant source for the national income.
