Seoul - Yonhap

The economic ripple effect from tourism is weakening despite the increasing number of visitors to South Korea, an industry report showed Friday, as tourists are spending less during their stay in the country. According to the report by the Korea Culture and Tourism Institute (KCTI), the number of foreign tourists is expected to rise more than 9 percent to 12.1 million in 2013 from 11.14 million in 2012.
