The Minister of Social Development Dr Fatima Al Balushi today received deputy resident representative of the UNDP Faris Ghuraiba and expert of micro-finance projects Majidi Moosa being implemented by the ministry in cooperation with the UN. At the outset of the meeting Dr Al Balushi lauded the positive results achieved by the ongoing cooperation between the two sides especially that related with the Family Bank and the implementation of its project. Meanwhile, Majidi Moosa presented an overview of the various phases of the project implementation emphasizing great advancement the project had achieved since it began. He also indicated that the project was in its final phase and that this phase would help in building cooperation between the Family Bank and newly established societies. For his part, Ghuraiba stressed on the role played by the Family Bank towards supporting families and individuals along with supporting the micro-finance project.
