The third annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) conference organized by the Ministry of Trade and Business will be held in the Doha Sheraton Hotel on October 3-4. As well as hosting expert speakers on CSR from the UN Global Compact network, the World Bank and international and national companies, CSR Conference attracts a number of major national and foreign companies operating within Qatar, said Ahmed al-Marzouki, Head of Ministry of Business and Trade CSR Committee. The results that were revealed in a survey by the Ministry show that national companies are eager to implement CSR principles, said al-Marzouki. CSR Conference is one of Qatar’s quality initiatives to support sustainable development in Qatar and increase awareness of the importance of corporate citizenship in commercial activities.
