Fixed asset investment in China's urban areas rose 21.5 percent in the first two months of 2012, compared with the same period last year, official data showed Friday. Fixed asset investments are a key measure of government spending on infrastructure, which has ballooned in recent years as Beijing opened the credit valves to spur economic activity after the 2008 global crisis.
