The 2011 Islamic Solidarity Prize was awarded to the Exports Promotion Centre (CEPEX) by the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). CEPEX will be presented with this prize on the fringes of the annual meeting of the Economic and Commercial Co-operation Committee, on October 17-20, 2011 in Istanbul, with the attendance of Turkish President Abdullah Gul. The Islamic Solidarity Prize for boosting trade between the member countries of the Islamic Co-operation Organisation was created at the initiative of IDB in 2007 to reward efforts exerted in this field by institutions of the member countries.
