Car prices come down as South Korea adjusts tax rates

Prices of vehicles with engine capacity exceeding 2,000 cubic centimeters (cc) were marked down as a trade deal with the United States took effect for this year, industry officials said Friday. Under the South Korea-U.S. free trade agreement (FTA) that became binding in March 2012, the government has lowered the tax rate to 6 percent from 7 percent in 2013
