Canada's 2014 economic growth forecast to jump to 2.3%

Canada's finance minister unveiled a modest budget based on a forecast that growth will increase to 2.3 percent Tuesday, aiming to return to a balanced budget ahead of elections next year. "As we have promised, our government remains committed to balancing the budget in 2015," Jim Flaherty told parliament, calling his fiscal blueprint "another prudent step toward a brighter future."
