Cairn India is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Sudhir Mathur as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) & Member Executive Committee, marking a culmination of Cairn India’s extensive search process. Sudhir joins Cairn India in early September 2012 from Aircel Cellular Ltd., where he was the CFO and responsible for Strategy, Finance, Supply Chain Management and Regulatory Affairs. He brings with him substantial expertise, knowledge and experience in several key areas of Finance and Strategic Planning, with a proven track record in deploying significant capital to enable value creation. He has also played a pivotal role in his previous assignments in accelerating business growth. Prior to Aircel Cellular Ltd., he has held senior positions in Delhi International Airport Ltd., Idea Cellular, Ballarpur Industries Ltd. and PriceWaterhouseCoopers India. Sudhir graduated in Economics from Delhi University and completed a Masters of Business Administration from Cornell University.
