Burberry plugs share price plunge

Shares in luxury clothing and accessories group Burberry steadied Wednesday, a day after tumbling by a fifth as the British firm issued a surprise profits warning amid China's economic slowdown. Burberry shares stood at 1,078 pence in London midday deals, down 0.92 percent compared with Tuesday's close. The group's share priced had plunged by almost 21 percent on Tuesday, wiping about £1.0 billion ($1.6 billion, 1.25 billion euros) from the company's market value.
