Bulgarian unemployment rate falls to 11% in May

Bulgaria's unemployment rate fell to 11 per cent in May, down 0.4 per cent from April, the agency for employment said Wednesday. According to dpa, there were 360,114 people without jobs in May - 13,410 fewer than the previous month. Seasonal hires in the retail, agriculture, construction and transportation industries trimmed in the number of unemployed. Bulgaria's unemployment rate stood at 8.9 per cent in May 2011.
