British official unemployment rate steady at 7.8%

The British unemployment rate stood at 7.8 percent in the three months to the end of May, unchanged from the quarter to the end of April, official data showed on Wednesday. The number of unemployed people dipped to 2.505 million from 2.511 million over the same period , the Office for National Statistics added in a statement.
