Brazil to denounce Western financial policies

Brazil will call on its BRICS partners to denounce what it calls unfair monetary policies by Europe and the United States, Reuters reports Wednesday. Brazil claims wealthy countries have caused a "monetary tsunami" by engaging in expansionist policies such as low interest rates and bond-buying programs.The country’s Trade and Industry Minister Fernando Pimentel said Brazil would reach out to its BRICS partners at this week's summit, which will bring together Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
