Beblawy: Constitution protects pensioners, funds

Prime Minister Hazem el-Beblawy chaired a meeting here on Sunday on pensions in the presence of the ministers of social solidarity, finance and manpower, the head of the Egyptian Trade Unions Federation and representatives of pensioners and trade unions. The premier said article 17 of the constitution protects the rights of pensioners and the pension funds is totally protected, Cabinet Spokesman Hani Salah said. The participants asked the premier to sponsor any agreement to be reached between the ministries of finance and social solidarity and the pensioners representatives.
