
Bangladesh's total exports in the first eight months of the current 2013-14 fiscal year (July 2013- June 2014) reached nearly 20 billion U.S. dollars, up about 14 percent from the same period a year ago, official data showed Monday. According to the country's Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) data, Bangladesh fetched 19,829.00 million U.S. dollars from exports in the first eight months of the current fiscal year. The EPB data showed export performance for February was 2,389. 42 million U.S. dollars, 6.36 percent higher than that in the same month a year ago. Bangladesh's export income in the past 2012-13 (July 2012-June 2013) fiscal year grew 11.18 percent year on year to reach 27.018 billion U.S. dollars, falling short of the projected target by 3. 51 percent.
