
Minister of Industry and Commerce, H.E. Dr. Hassan bin Abdullah Fakhro, said the services sector is a large contributor in gross domestic product (GDP). The Minister expressed his confidence that in the sector to achieve more sustainable growth by virtue of the efforts of the public and private sector in developing human resources and the quality of services provided in diverse fields. The Minister told BNA on the side-lines of his patronage today of the Disney Model Forum on Leadership, Productivity and Creativity in the Services Sector that productivity and creativity are the basis of working to upgrade the standard of services. The Minister praised Tamkeen's continuous support to all activities, forums and exhibitions hosted in the Kingdom, citing its recent support to the 8th edition of Invest-in-Bahrain Forum2013. The Minister hoped that such efforts continue to be exerted by the public and private sectors in order to boost our national economy and to move to vaster horizons of development and prosperity. Dr. Hassan Abdullah Fakhro said that the Kingdom of Bahrain has become a major destination in the Gulf region in terms of hosting specialized forums and workshops to accomplish more productivity, discuss details and viewpoints which encourage productivity so that the Kingdom continues to proceed in its sustainable development in line with the Bahrain Economic Vision2030. The Disney Model Forum on Leadership, Productivity and Creativity in Services Sector is presented by the internationally-acclaimed American expert on customer service, leadership and global competitiveness Mr. Doug Lipp who visits Bahrain for the first time. The forum was attended by more than 700 participants from Bahrain and GCC countries.
