His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister has always accentuated his keenness on the implementation of the national consensus dialogue's conceded views which the government has already begun to implement regarding housing services provided to all Bahraini citizens, shortening the awaiting period and the satisfaction of housing applications under the government's program of action in partnership between the private sector and public sector in housing and infrastructure projects.Minister of Housing Engineer Bassim bin Yagoub al-Hammer pointed out that conceded view included the revising of criteria and preconditions for obtaining housing services in order to expand the base of beneficiaries and shortening the period of applicant's waiting to less than five years and to provide housing to divorcees, widows, spinsters, etc. The views also dealt with the problem of housing to young people, fair distribution of jobs, housing and wealth. The Minister said that the government is currently revising these criteria which determine those eligible to housing services in addition to provision of support and social aid grants and he said that the government is now redirecting social subsidies to be disbursed to those eligible. The Minister stressed that the Ministry channels all of its energies and efforts in order to realize the aspirations and directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Monarch of the Kingdom of Bahrain in addition to implementation of the national dialogue conceded views pertaining to the housing dossier.The Minister hailed His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister for his unlimited support to the Ministry of Housing and cited the wise directives from His Royal Highness the Prime Minister aimed at pushing forward the wheel of housing development and urbanization in the Kingdom.
