Municipalities and Urban Planning Affairs Minister Dr. Jumaa bin Ahmed Al-Kaabi attended the 23rd meeting of the GCC Agricultural Cooperation Committee. Muharraq Municipality director-general Shaikh Khalifa bin Isa Al-Khalifa and Fisheries director-general Jassim Al-Qassir attended the session. The delegations discussed issues including fisheries, agriculture livestock, stressing joint keenness on promoting food security amid plans to move from the phase of GCC cooperation to the phase of full-fledged unity. The session also discussed establishing a centre for food and financial security studies and the unification of fees stipulated in the law on insecticides and fertilizers. The ministers discussed GCC-Turkish cooperation in the sectors of food security, livestock and fisheries. AHN
