
The Arab Trade Financing Programme (ATFP) approved requests for financing valued at US$ 310 million in the final quarter of 2013, raising to $845 million the total amount of financing requests since the beginning of 2013, according to a report reviewed yesterday by the AFTP's board of directors. The report indicated that new four national agencies had joined the Abu Dhabi-based AFTP, bringing the total network of national agencies to 204, spreading across 19 Arab member states and five foreign members. Since its inception in 1991, the AFTP has financed operations worth $10.5 billion.
