Annual growth in labor costs up to 1.4% in euro area

Annual growth in labor costs went up to 1.4 percent in euro area and to 1.2 percent in the European Union (EU), said Eurostat, the statistical office of the EU said on Wednesday. It said that in the third quarter of 2013, hourly labor costs increased by 1.1 percent in both euro area and the EU.
