Algeria's ordinary and oil tax revenues, outside the Revenue Regulation Fund (FRR), totalled DZD 3,688 billion (US$48 billion) in 2013, up by 6.5 percent compared to 2012, said the Directorate General of Taxes. The ordinary taxation collected in 2013 amounted to DZD 2,072 billion (US$ 27 billion), up by 7 percent, while oil taxation increased by 6.4 percent totalling DZD 1,615.9 billion (US$ 21 billion). The Finance Act 2013 expected the overall revenues to reach DZD 3,820 billion, including DED 2,204.1 billion from ordinary taxation. The moderate increase in ordinary tax revenue in 2013, which generally grows by 20 % per year, is mainly due to the decrease in direct taxes last year, a source from the Directorate General of Taxes explained to APS.
