Algeria index of goods import prices is slightly higher at the first quarter of 2012 by 1.3% compared to the same period in 2011, despite a "relatively large"decline (7.2%) of the volume of imports, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said Monday. This decrease concerned the "raw materials" with 41%, "industrial equipments" (13.4%) and a slight decrease ’1%) for food. In Dinars, imports of goods decreased by 5.9% compared to the same period in 2011, from DA 836.3 billion to 786.7 billion DA, adds the ONS.
