
Kuwait Minister of State for Housing Affairs Salem Al-Athaina Tuesday called for exchanging expertise between the Arab countries on one side and UN housing agencies. Al-Athaina, also Minister of State for Municipal Affairs, said following the conclusion of the Council of Arab Housing Ministers' meeting that they have discussed 19 issues related to housing in the Arab countries. Speaking to KUNA, Al-Athaina said the ministers discussed the gap between housing demand and supply in the Arab countries, and exchange of expertise over housing affairs. He called on the importance of benefitting from housing expertise of the developed countries. Al-Athaina said the housing projects needed huge financial resources and provision of land lots, as well as relevant legislations and laws. He said the private sector could play a major role in the implementation of the housing projects in the Arab countries
