Abdel-Nour meets Azerbaijan envoy over boosting economic relations

Industry, Trade and Investment Minister Mounir Fakhry Abdel-Nour met Wednesday with Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Cairo Shahin Abdullayev.a The meeting took up bolstering trade and economic relations along with the investment opportunities in the two countries. The minister announced that a joint economic committee would hold a meeting in Cairo during the next few months. The meeting also reviewed the most important investment opportunities in Egypt, especially the Golden Triangle and the Suez Gulf projects and prospective ventures in the petrochemical sector, he added. Abdel-Nour asserted that the ministry would provide all the facilities for investors in these promising projects. For his part, the envoy expressed his country's aspiration for more economic cooperation with Egypt during the upcoming period, noting that the volume of Azerbaijan's foreign investments is about USD 17 billion
