
US president Barack Obama has allocated $46.2 billion in FY 2015 budget for the Department of State and the US Agency for International Development (USAID) to support several world countries, including Israel, Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen and Jordan as well as the Syrian people.In a statement on Tuesday, the US State Department said the new budget reflected continued American leadership in pursuit of stability and prosperity while making tough trade-offs to support national security, diplomatic, and development priorities.The department said that 7 billion dollars have been allocated to bolster security and economic partnerships with countries across the Middle East and North Africa.The ministry said that this will provide help to countries in transition like Egypt, Tunisia, Libya, and Yemen and support the Syrian people, particularly by providing life-sustaining aid to those displaced by conflict; to address the regional impact of the Syrian conflict; and to promote successful transitions and reforms in the region.It also announced its robust support for Israel and Jordan.
