Pakistan Ambassador Muhammad Naeem Khan held a meeting with Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) Gov. Abdullatif Al-Othman yesterday. They discussed ways and means to further develop and diversify cooperation between SAGIA and the business community of Pakistan. During the meeting, the ambassador felicitated the governor on the assumption of his office stating that it manifested the confidence of Custodian of Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah in his capabilities. The ambassador also appreciated the role of SAGIA in the progress and development of the Kingdom. The ambassador of Pakistan thanked the governor on SAGIA's continuous support to more than 500 Pakistani businessmen who have invested close to SR 2 billion in the Saudi economy primarily in the manufacturing and services sectors. The governor appreciated the role of Pakistani investors and extended his full support for the further enhancement of bilateral cooperation in this regard. He emphasized that SAGIA would welcome more Pakistani companies in the Kingdom in order to mutually benefit from each other's experience and expertise. The two dignitaries also agreed on early establishment of institutional framework to attract investment in each other's countries and to provide more conducive environment to the investor communities of the two countries to tap into the immense business opportunities.
