The 2nd Oman Capital Markets Forum 2011, held under the theme ' the latest Developments and New Opportunities in the Capital Markets in the Sultanate of Oman ' will be opened next Monday at the Al Bustan Palace Hotel, under the auspices of Darwish bin Ismaiel bin Ali al Balushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs. The two-day forum is organized by Oman International Trade and Exhibitions Company (OITE) in association with Muscat Securities Markets & Capital Market Authority (CMA). The forum is set to cast light on the investment opportunities in the Muscat Securities Market, the role played by family businesses in the process of economic development in the Sultanate, the role of Islamic finance in economic development in the Sultanate of Oman, the integration of financial markets in the Gulf, the current trends and future prospects, and other topics related to financial markets. "The forum will provide an opportunity for the experts to share the latest updates on local capital markets, trade and exchange visions and communication with shareholders and learn innovative practices and challenges in the stock market. It will also provide excellent opportunities for funding in the investment sectors to explore opportunities in the markets of the Sultanate. The forum will bring together key experts, officials, business leaders, regional and international investors to discuss and present groundbreaking issues. The businessmen will have the opportunity to benefit from the experiences to stimulate the growth and enhance the stability factors in the market.
