
A report received by Trade and Industry Minister Tarek Kabil said that 1,885 projects at cost of EGP 58 billion were agreed by the General Authority for Industrial Development in 2015.
The report added that 248 projects at investments of EGP 1.5 billion were approved in December 2015, compared to 229 projects at cost of EGP 2.4 billion in the same month of 2014.
The 1,885 projects will provide 77,000 jobs, the report said.
These projects cover nine industrial sectors in 21 governorates, it added.
The ministry developed an integrated strategy to improve the efficiency of industrial zones, he added.
