Weak Q4 earnings set to further nudge down stock market

South Korea's corporate earnings season kicked off this week with a spate of South Korean blue chip companies reporting gloomy fourth-quarter earnings, signaling further woes for the local stock market already facing a bearish run, analysts said Friday. Market analysts had been expecting local firms' fourth-quarter bottom lines to be weak, but many of the announcements are turning out to be worse than expected.
