Wall Street wraps up 2013 on strong note

US stocks extended record runs Tuesday on the last trading day of 2013, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 ending the blockbuster year with the biggest gains in more than one decade. The Dow rose nearly 0.4 percent, and the S&P 500 jumped 0.4 percent while the Nasdaq added 0.5 percent.
