Wall Street mixed ahead of Fed statement

The U.S. stocks closed mixed after choppy trading on Tuesday, as investors awaited the results of the U.S. Federal Reserve's two-day policy meeting and U.S. home prices in May logged the biggest increase in over seven years. The Dow fell less than 0.1 percent, the S&P 500 inched up less than 0.1 percent, and the Nasdaq surged 0.5 percent.
