The exchange rate of the US dollar against the Kuwaiti dinar (KD) slipped on Tuesday to trade for KD 0.284, while the euro gained to trade for KD 0.375, said the Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK). The CBK daily exchange rate bulletin also reported that the pound Sterling gained to trade for KD 0.437, the Swiss franc gained to KD 0.304, and the Japanese yen stayed at its long0etched KD 0.003. The US greenback lost ground yesterday, partially weighed down by negative home sales data in the US for the month of June. Another contributing factor was rise in rate of Japanese yen due to election results and rise in euro rate due to end of political crisis in Portugal.
