$ trades below 88 yen line in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar traded at the lower 88 yen range early Thursday in Tokyo. At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 88.12-13 yen compared with 87.82-92 yen in New York and 87.48-49 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday. The euro fetched 1.3052-3054 dollar and 115.03-05 yen against 1. 3060-3070 dollar and 114.75-85 yen in New York and 1.3075-3076 dollar and 114.38-42 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon.
