Tokyo shares end higher by break on weaker yen

Tokyo shares ended higher by ending the morning session Thursday with its benchmark Nikkei stocks index eyeing a 10-day rise on the yen's further depreciation.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average jumped 136.70 points, or 0. 67 percent, higher from Wednesday to 20,609.28.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 15.57 points, or 0.94 percent, at 1, 676.90.
