Taiwan's share prices closed higher Friday with the weighted index up 92.17 points, or 1.2 percent, to close at 7,756.18, according to news reaching here from Taipei.
Turnover totaled 68.96 billion new Taiwan dollars (about 2.05 billion U.S. dollars).
