South Korea, China agree to launch won-yuan direct trading market

South Korea and China on Thursday agreed to launch "as early as possible" a won-yuan direct trading market that would reduce their heavy dependence on the U.S. dollar.
South Korean President Park Geun-hye and her visiting Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping also agreed to try to conclude a bilateral free trade agreement (FTA) by the end of this year, Park's office Cheong Wa Dae said after their summit talks.
