Seoul shares up 0.52% in late-morning trade

South Korean stocks traded 0.52 percent higher late Thursday morning, fueled by gains in large-cap tech and steelmakers following the U.S. Federal Reserve's decision to wind down its stimulus from early next year, analysts said. The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 10.31 points to 1,984.94 as of 11:40 a.m.
