Seoul shares open almost flat ahead of FOMC

South Korean stocks opened nearly flat Monday as investors took a wait-and-see approach before the U.S. Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting later this week, analysts said.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) moved up 0.74 points, or 0.04 percent, to 1,986.53 in the first 15 minutes of trading.
