Seoul shares inch up on strong investor sentiment

South Korean stocks extended their earlier advances late Wednesday morning as Fed chairwoman's remarks heartened investors to buy mainly tech big caps on the local market. The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) gained 0.41 percent, or 7.93 points, to 1939.99 as of 11:20 a.m.
