Seoul shares expected to see steady rise next week

The South Korean stock market is forecast to rise next week following a key rate cut and stimulus measures, but gains will be limited due to persisting geopolitical risks and lack of momentum, analysts said Saturday.
The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 1.78 percent from the previous week to close at 2,063.22 on Thursday. The market was closed Friday in observance of Liberation Day.
